30/01/2019 - Burns Night Dinner

On our January 5th Wednesday, an enjoyable evening was had by the members, along with their partners and guests, who included a potential new member Charlie Scully and his wife Claire, when we were treated to a Scottish themed evening in celebration of Burns Night, during which we enjoyed the piping in of the haggis by our guest piper Brian Grant, followed by the address to the haggis, made by our resident Scot, Graham Smith.

After a starter of haggis, with neeps and tatties, we then enjoyed a full roast meal, followed by toasts to the lads and lassies, proposed by Alan and Jo Clare, with the evening being rounded off with traditional Scottish music by the piper, before we all made our way home.
